Velotric Go1 Electric Bike Review

Velotric Go1 Electric Bike Review

The Velotric Go1 is a lightweight step-through electric bike designed to safely carry kids. It has a 500W motor and can reach speeds up to 25 mph. Some key features include:

Carrying Accessories for Kids

The Go1 has several accessories to comfortably and safely carry kids:

  • Rear rack with cushioned pad to seat a second rider
  • Adjustable handlebars for the rear rider to hold onto
  • Protective side screens to prevent legs getting caught in the rear wheel
  • Foot pegs for the rear rider's feet

These features allow you to carry a child weighing up to 120 lbs on the back without needing to hold onto them.

Range and Hill Climbing Ability

In our test, we achieved a max range of 22.9 miles with 1,273 ft of elevation gain. The 500W motor can handle moderate hills but struggles on steep gradients over 10%.

Smooth and Comfortable Ride

The Go1 has a plush, oversized saddle, front suspension, and street tires for a smooth ride on bumpy terrain. The plastic fenders keep you dry and clean.

Secure and Convenient

A built-in 48V battery provides ample power. The dual kickstand keeps the bike sturdy when loaded. Bluetooth connectivity allows tracking the bike via a phone app if stolen.

Overall, the Velotric Go1 is ideal for family bike rides, commuting short distances, and running errands around town with kids in tow.
