Mokwheel Scoria Electric Bike Review - Smooth and Comfortable Commuter E-Bike

Mokwheel Scoria Electric Bike Review - Smooth and Comfortable Commuter E-Bike

The Mokwheel Scoria electric bike provides a smooth and comfortable riding experience perfect for commuting. With great range, power, and high-end components, it's a premium e-bike option.

Premium Build and Components

The Scoria features high quality grips, shifters, brake levers, throttle, and saddle. These components come together to create a very comfortable and natural riding position. The textures hydraulic disc brakes offer plenty of stopping power.

Powerful Motor and Battery

The motor provides strong acceleration and hill climbing capability. On a 26% grade hill, the motor did about 90% of the work getting up to 7 mph. In range testing, the Scoria achieved an excellent 25 miles range at an average speed of 25 mph.

Upright and Relaxed Geometry

The Scoria has an upright, commuter style frame geometry. This creates a relaxed and comfortable riding posture. The handlebars could be positioned slightly higher, but overall it's a comfortable commuting position.

Durable and Capable

With its sturdy frame, wood accent rack, and beefy rims, the Scoria is built to handle heavier loads. It has a 400 lb payload capacity, making it great for carrying gear or an extra passenger.

Some Shortcomings

A few negatives of the Scoria include the slow 15 mph throttle limit, inaccurate speedometer, cheap fenders, and kickstand design. The wood rack also adds unnecessary weight.

Ideal For Commuting

Overall, the Mokwheel Scoria offers a smooth, comfortable, and premium commuting e-bike experience. It's a great option for those looking for an easy-riding and capable electric bike.
