The 2023 Apollo Phantom is one of the most powerful and exciting electric scooters available today. With dual 1200W motors, 10" tubeless tires and long range battery, it can reach up to 40 mph and tackle varied terrain with ease.
Unrivaled Speed and Acceleration
In Ludicrous mode, I hit the top speed of 40 mph on straightaways with ease. The acceleration is instantaneous - going from 0 to 30 mph in just a couple seconds. The torquey motors allow you to launch faster than just about any other scooter. Even in the slower speed modes, acceleration is lightning quick.
Smooth and Controlled Power Delivery
Despite the crazy acceleration, the power delivery feels smooth and controlled. Apollo engineered the dual motors and controllers to deliver a linear power curve that never feels jerky. This makes controlling the Phantom much easier than most high powered scooters. You get an incredibly thrilling ride without the scariness.
Generous 23 Mile Range
During my range tests at an average speed of 35 mph, I achieved 23 miles of range. More conservative riding could extend that towards 30 miles. The large 52V 21Ah battery uses high quality LG cells and takes about 8 hours for a full recharge.
Climbs Hills With Ease
Weighing just 59 lbs, the Phantom has no problem climbing steep hills thanks to its ultra powerful motors. I tested 26% grade hills and it charged up with throttle to spare without any pedaling needed.
Suspension Soaks Up Bumps
Dual hydraulic suspension in the front and rear smooth out bumps and cracks in the road. Combined with the 10" tubeless pneumatic tires, the suspension provides a comfortable ride quality even over rough city streets.
Precise Hydraulic Brakes
Tektro hydraulic disc brakes on the rear and 140mm regenerative braking on the front allow precise speed control. The regeneration brakes are strong enough to bring you to a complete stop in many cases. I felt in control even at 40 mph.
Improved Design and Build Quality
Apollo improved the overall quality and refinement of the Phantom for 2023. The deck is now carbon fiber reinforced nylon providing stiffness while cutting weight. The wires and cables are better routed for a cleaner look. Small details like the integrated LED turn signals further improve the polish.
